Currently running for District A-1 Governor
LION VALERIE BURNINGHAM, 1VDG
Lion Valerie Burningham’s Lions journey began in 1986 when she joined the Windsor Downtown Lioness Club. She served in many Club positions as well as in the District.

In 2003, when the Windsor Lioness Club folded, she was invited to become a Lion with the Windsor Downtown Lions Club. She, once again, served on several committees as well as Board positions all the way up to being the First female President during the 90th Anniversary year. She has served in District positions, Zone Chair for 2 years and Leader Dog for the Blind Chair for 7 years. Lion Valerie is currently VDG, looking forward to working closely with the District A1 team & members. COVID-19 is simply another challenge that we are learning to overcome as we continue to move forward and learn a new normal. VDG Valerie Burningham will encourage open communication because that’s how things happen as “We Serve.”

Lion Valerie has been married to Mark for 52 years. They have 4 children, 12 grandchildren, 1 grand-angel, 3 soon to be 4 great-grandchildren. Lion Valerie proudly watched Mark, as his sponsor, get inducted into Lions during the Canada-World Wide Virtual Induction ceremony.
